Technology/Process Description:
Tintu Rubbers produces slippers
(Hawai Chappals) and Rubber Mats from Natural Rubber (NR). Natural Rubber (NR)
is produced from the crop harvested from rubber plantations both in the latex
form as well as in the field coagulum form. Latex is a milky white dispersion
of rubber in water and field coagulum is the auto coagulated latex on the
tapping panel (tree lace) and the collection cups (shell scrap and cup lumps).
Both the latex and field coagulum harvested from rubber plantations are highly
susceptible to degradation by contamination on keeping so they have to be
processed into marketable forms which
allows safe storage and marketing.
The production process is as follows:
Firstly the raw rubber is mixed with chemicals in a mixing mill. The out put is
fed in a Hydraulic Press. As per the mould design sheets, straps and mats are
made. The output goes to cutting machine which cuts the soles for slippers and
mats as per the sizes. Straps are fixed on the soles in next step.
